This article is applicable for versions BI Connector v6.x and above. For 5.x versions please follow the steps here.
While using the BI Connector, you might come across scenarios where you want to reactivate a license key on a particular machine to get the latest license expiry date reflected (after renewal) or to replace a trial key with a subscription key.
Please follow the steps below to update/activate your license key:
- Open the BI Connector application.
Note - If you're activating the license on a Server machine, please run the BI Connector as an Administrator. - Click on the Gear icon on the left side bar.
- Click on Edit for the User Information section, and enter the required info and click on Save.
Note: Please ensure a valid business email is entered, as invalid email entries would result in failure of license activations.
- Next, under License Information section, if you see a Reactivate button, please click on it. Now the latest license expiry date would reflect on your end under the "Next renew on" box.
Note
If you're not seeing a 'Reactivate' button at this point, but instead seeing an 'Activate' button with an empty License Key field, please enter the key in the License Key field, and click on Activate as highlighted in the image below.
If you're neither seeing a 'Reactivate' button nor seeing an 'Activate' button at this point, please skip the steps below, and continue your license activation by performing an Offline activation using the steps here.
If the license key entered is valid, a short message conveying the successful activation will be displayed as highlighted in the image below.
