If you are getting the BI Connector license is not valid error (as shown in the below screenshot), when connecting to OBIEE from Tableau/Power BI/Qlik using BI Connector, please refer to the below steps to resolve the issue:

Step-1: Reactivate the License key in BI Connector.

  1. Launch ODBC 64-bit console as "Run as Administrator"
  2. Select an existing BI Connector DSN and click Configure (or create a new System DSN and configure).
  3. Activate the license key once again in the System DSN.

Please refer to the following article to activate license Online: How to activate BI Connector license online?

In case of Offline activation, please try to activate the license key by generating a new offlineActivationRequest.json file and activate the license using the newly generated activation response file.

Please refer to the following article to activate license Offline: How to activate BI Connector license offline?

Step-2: Relaunch the Tableau/Power BI/Qlik application you are working with.

Note: If you are using Power BI, please clear the Power BI cache. Please refer to the following article with step by step instructions: How To Clear Cache Of Power BI Desktop?

If you are using Tableau Server/Power BI Gateway, please clear the browser cache and try reloading the workbooks.

Now connect to OBIEE from Tableau/Power BI/Qlik using BI Connector.
