The BI Connector Team may request that users extract and share the Windows Applications Event Logs for troubleshooting purposes. Please follow the steps below:
- In Windows, search for Event Viewer, and open the app.
- Expand the Windows logs folder in the left pane, and select Application.
- In the right pane, click Filter Current Log...
- Use the steps below in the Filter Current Log dialog box that opens:
- Under Logged field, select Custom Range from the drop-down. Follow the steps below in the Custom Range dialog box that opens:
- Under From section, select Events on from the dropdown. Enter the date and time as requested by the BI Connector Team. If no time is shared by the BI Connector Team, you can enter it as 00:00:00
- Under To section, select Events on from the dropdown. Enter the date and time as requested by the BI Connector Team. If no time is shared by the BI Connector Team, you can enter it as 00:00:00
- Click Ok on the Custom Range dialog box to close it
- Under From section, select Events on from the dropdown. Enter the date and time as requested by the BI Connector Team. If no time is shared by the BI Connector Team, you can enter it as 00:00:00
- Under the Event Level field, check all the boxes.
- Click Ok on the Filter Current Log dialog box to close it.
- Under Logged field, select Custom Range from the drop-down. Follow the steps below in the Custom Range dialog box that opens:
- In the right pane, click Save Filtered Log File As...
- In the Save As dialog box that opens, give a name to the file, and set the Save as Type field as CSV, and Save it to a convenient location. Then send the saved CSV file via email to the BI Connector Team.
