Why am I getting "Successful Connection to BI Server" message with a warning?

BI Connector support team often comes across customers who were successfully able to establish a connection with their OBIEE or OAC data, but unable to visualize that data in their preferred visualization tool. This is due to the lack of access privileges in the OBIEE or OAC environment.


In such cases, BI Connector shows a warning message similar to the one below, after successfully establishing a connection with OBIEE during the DSN configuration.

The warning message above shows that the SOAP.AccessMetadataService privilege is restricted to the user. Similarly, there may be other privileges too listed in this message.


In order to address this warning message, the user is required to share the message to their OBIEE or OAC administrator, and request access to the listed privileges for ensuring hassle-free visualization of OBIEE or OAC data in their favorite tool.
